I will be officially married in 74 days! That is insane I remember when it was 340 days away, and now here we are on double digits, that are declining at a very fast rate.
I have been getting everything I need in order this week. I worked on some DIY projects on Sunday with my Matron of Honor Ms. Nikki, and have started getting together our invites so I can mail them out on Friday. I cannot believe how close it is, and how much I still have to do. To stress myself out less I have provided myself with one small task a day to help with the anxiety and also to allow that things will be done in time.
Here are a couple of things I have accomplished this week:
Start of the bridal bouquet, flower girl chalkboard, "twine" bottle centerpieces, and some here and there decorations.
I have also been thinking a lot about music.
I have so much of it chosen already, I just am contemplating our ceremony exit song, and our wedding party/our entrance song.
I feel like so many of the wedding party entrance songs are SO over used, and I am totally not into that. A lot of our special songs are some I have never heard at a wedding, and I love that. I believe every wedding is gorgeous it's own way, but I also see a lot of brides using a lot of the same songs.
So I've been thinking of fun, upbeat, dance songs that are not horribly over used.
My two favorite picks at this time is "This is Love" by Will.I.Am
and "When Love Takes Over" by David Guetta & Kelly Rowland
and I am debating on our entrance song to be "Forever" by Chris Brown, but that is still up for debate.
Our ceremony exit song I am also still up in the air about but luh luh loving "Ho Hey" by The Lumineers. (just the last minute or so)
What songs were your hardest to choose, and any song options you have in mind are GREATLY welcome!

74 DAYS? Whoa!! Time flies!! Especially when your engaged!
ReplyDeleteFor our ceremony, we kept the traditional music played by an organist since it was in a church, but for the reception..our entrance song was Marry Me by Bruno Mars. VERY over-used by now. Haha, but I like your Will.I.Am. song...thats a good one! Good luck with all your decisions, I'm sure whatever you pick will be perfect!! =D
74 dayssss! eek! i do love that forever song by Chris brown! even if he is a lil wacko.
ReplyDeleteOhmahgoodness girl your wedding is coming up SO fast!!
ReplyDeleteWe too had a hard time picking our songs. I walked down the isle to the Sleeping Beauty Waltz, we exited to "You and Me" by Dave Matthews Band, and the bridal party walked into the reception to "Marry the Night" by Gaga.
It seemed like everyone at the time was walking out to Usher songs so we made sure not to do that :P
Great Job on the DIY projects they all look great, your wedding day will be here in no time.
ReplyDeleteFor me I think that hardest songs were the Last Dance, Bridal Party Entrance Song, and Cake Cutting song.
In the end it for my wedding the last song was not the one I chose and the guests made tweaks to my song choice for the entire evening mainly. I did not even notice it until after the wedding and I realized I never choose half the songs that were played, but our friends and family had fun so I was okay with it.
Our entrance song is forever... Took me awhile to decide on it since everyone is familiar with the jk wedding dance video but I still like it :)
ReplyDeleteIt's getting closer!!! I'm getting so excited for you!!! Music is tough!! I say... Listen to your iPod or pandora..the most unexpected song could be the best song!

Hi I just found your blog through Mingle Monday and given that I just got married 2 months ago I had to look through your wedding posts :-)
ReplyDeletePicking music was definitely a fun part for me for our wedding. Our ceremony exit song was "Marry You" by Bruno Mars and our reception entrance song was "Down" by Jay Sean. I thought both were fun, upbeat, love/wedding songs but weren't ones that were over played.
