What did you think about dating and marriage before you met

{The One}?

You will think it is okay to fight, scream, and yell at one another when you are mad. All couples do it.
You will soon know that when you are upset you sit down and talk it out like adults. You listen, and than you respond. Love is not a debate, it's an agreement.

You will think if he cheated, and than said he was sorry. It was okay. He said he was sorry right? It won't happen again.....Even if it did 4 other times.
You will soon know when you truly love someone, loving someone else is the last thing from your mind.

You will think that being showered with gifts was a way someone told you they cared.
You will soon know showering someone with words and smiles is not the only way, but it's the most important.

You will think being in love was a reason to stay with someone even though you are unhappy.
You will soon know being in love means you know you can always leave, but never want too.

You will think that lying is okay because he was just trying to save you from hurting
You will soon know that love means not doing things that you have to lie about in the first place.

You thought love was something You will soon KNOW love isn't.


As if you don't already know the dysfunctional relationship you have spent so much wasted time in, is still headed in the same place it was from the start. You will get stronger the more he hurts you, and you will realize you don't have time to be a second choice.

It may seem hard, but it will be the best decision you ever made. They say "good things come to those who wait"

You are going to need to be by yourself for awhile, something is going to happen where the ONLY thing you want is to not be alone, but in the long run, being alone in this time is going to help you grow, and help you realize the things that you truly need in a significant other.

You will see what real love is from the moment you meet him. He withholds kindness, compassion, he makes you feel special, he makes you feel like you are the only girl in the world for him, and he will make your heart a way it NEVER has before, complete.
