Letters To My Former Single Self {Week 4}

Today is the final week of this link up. I don't think I have ever enjoyed being a part of link up more than I have this one. Not only have I loved sharing everything from my heart with all of my readers and making connections with those who have shared some of my experiences as well. I have learned alot about myself through typing out these words and I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed sharing all of this with you, and Thank you Ms. Lisette from Northern Belle Diaries, for coming up with such a heartfelt idea:)

This week's questions:
Describe your first date with your now current partner.
Did you feel any "butterflies" on your first couple of encounters?
Did you have any indication it would later be the "real deal?
If you have not already read my first three letters you can catch up here, here, and here.

Dear Hallie,
As you already know when you completed that online dating profile you were NOT looking for love, and as you know you started talking to a guy who has stole your heart. I know you keep telling yourself. "Don't get attached" "don't start this trip out with a heartbreak" "don't ruin this great thing you are doing for yourself" I know you are worried because well, what if it does go down the toilet and he ends up being the same kind of jerk you have been perusing your whole life. It worries you that you will hate Florida if all you receive is a broken heart, and THAT my dear, is not why you came.
The night you meet the guy you will say out loud "I cannot believe I am here, I cannot believe this is my home"  you still have your worries, but at that moment in time you have a moment of clarity. The night is clear, the date is perfect, and he is the sweetest guy you have come to know.
This is your life, and it's time to STOP worrying about how things won't work out and just let them. If he breaks your heart, part ways with a smile. If it's love, than just let it be.
He takes you to a romantic dinner on the water. He knows you love seafood, which is why he choose this place, but you order a salad because you don't want to look "fat"
(if I could only smack you right now)
He than takes you down to the bay front on a island park surrounded by water.  The night is dark, the stars are bright, and you two will hold hands and talk about your plans to build a life in Florida and he will truly show you how he wants to be apart of your journey. You reach the corner in the park where you are surrounded by water. There is a water fountain about 20 feet high spraying different color water and it's the most gorgeous view you have EVER encountered.
Now the next moment will throw you off.
He will look to the sky and say, "oh my gosh, what is that?!"
You being your gullible self will scan the sky desperately trying to see exactly what he is talking about, when he does something completely unexpected.
"It's a shower of kisses!" and kisses you ALL over.
It was the most childish, yet romantic and hilarious first date encounter you will ever have.
Right than you will know he so different. He is comfortable in his skin, he was comfortable with you, and you are having the time of our lives together.
That silly little voice at the back your mind will pop up again
"Stop falling....or your going to hit the ground hard"
After the walk being the gentleman that he is he walks you back to his car, he asks you to sit with him for a couple minutes before you leave to say goodbye.
When you get in the passenger seat he is placing a cd in the cd player.
A little music to set the mood?
Yeah, you could say that.
You will hear the infamous cupid shuffle, and you better bet he is going to want you to "car" dance with him.
You will tense up, and your shy timid self will pop out.
Push her away, enjoy this moment. It will be one of your favorites.
as you both sit in the car bobbing "to the left, to the left, to the left, to the left..."  and once again "to the right, to the right, to the right, to the right." People will walk by and stare at you thinking you guys are insane.
but you will LOVE every minute of it.
It's probably the first time you have genuinely laughed in a long time.
Not only is it at that time, you realize you made the right decision to be where you are in that moment..it's the moment the voice in the back of your head tells you to stop holding yourself back from falling..
and just tells you to let go.
You know at that point, he'll always catch you.
