Today I am celebrating with ice cream cake, a half day of work, a scrumptious dinner at the cutest restaurant in Sarasota, some delicious drinks and sharing all my love with my favorites, especially you guys!
Thank you for making me feel so loved everyday, especially today! Having you all is the best present I could ever receive!
While the "captain" is out, my beyond gorgeous First Mate, Ms. Casey will be taking over the blog today!
Huge hug and appreciation to the ever so lovely Hallie for not only letting me share my thoughts on her space, but for also letting me star as her "First Mate" this month!
It is always a joy to be able to work with some of your favorite bloggers!
First let me apologize for not introducing myself sooner.
I'm Casey and I am the spazzy brain behind "The Aslan's Auspicious Albany Adventure", say that nine times fast!
I mean heck we all know that...otherwise you wouldn't be here right now. Hah! Caught ya.
I love Hallie because she fears the lack of change...something I could really learn from the gal!
You see, I'm a newlywed who unpacked my suitcase from the honeymoon, repacked and moved 1700 miles away from the only home I knew. To say change gives me palpitations would be an understatement. But, being thrown full force into it, hasn't turned out so bad.
I love Hallie because she reminds me that the fate of my life rests solely in my hands...nix the pity party and get on with your bad self!
At times I would play "poor pitiful me" when I missed home, but I was reminded to quickly snap out of it because I was missing out on far too many things; and thus have figured out some pretty awesome coping methods.
I love Hallie, because she too had to turn the page and figure out that growing up means home can only be what you make it.
I think its a lesson everyone in life figures out eventually.
Our move from Texas has taught me a lot about myself. And one of those is that Home really is where your heart and loved ones are.
I could obviously continue on, and on, but as we all know, there is no need to explain the greatness behind Life: Oceanside.
Be sure to stop by and see what new adventures we are getting ourselves into in the North East!
From our home to yours,
